Pooja Shahani Memorial Scholarship Fund

SMArT Scholarship Program is supported by Pooja Shahani Memorial Scholarship Fund

Overview

We are humbled and honoured that from 2024 the SMArT Scholarship Program will be supported by Pooja Shahani Memorial Fund, helping us move closer to our vision of creating a diverse and inclusive community of Expressive Arts Therapy practitioners in India.

The intention of our Partial Scholarship Program is to support dedicated individuals who want to participate in our global mission by becoming increasingly empowered as agents of positive change, but who otherwise would not be able to enrol at the full rate. We are grateful to be able to extend aid at this time to a limited number of students in the form of partial scholarships for our FECAT program.

The SMArT Partial Scholarship Program specifically aims to provide financial support to aspiring Expressive Arts Therapy practitioners from minority communities (Caste, LGBTQIA+, religion) who are eager to get trained in our FECAT course and who can subsequently utilize their skills in service of their respective communities.

Please review our Scholarship Guidelines before completing your application. Please note that in the interest of assisting as many individuals as possible, our scholarships are partial awards and do not cover the full course fees. Typical partial scholarships, if awarded, provide up to 50% off regular course fees. Scholarship award registrations are also non-refundable (although they are transferable in some instances to an alternate course or program).

If you have questions about the guidelines, or application process, or are seeking help with our other offerings please email hello@smartmove.co.in

Pooja Shahani Memorial Scholarship Fund is our partner supporting our vision of creating a diverse and inclusive community of Expressive Arts Therapy practitioners.

Pooja Shahani was a dear student of FECAT who recognized the transformational power of Expressive Arts, and continuously worked to take this experience to minority communities. We are honored to be associated with this initiative that carries forward her legacy.

    Scholarship Guidelines

    Availability & Award Amount

Partial Scholarships are available for our FECAT program only. Whenever we are able to award scholarships, our partial scholarship award can cover a percentage of the full rate. Our scholarship award determinations are made by our Scholarships & Merit Awards Committee, based on several factors, including the size of our award fund and the approximate number of students enrolling.

Applicants should only apply for a scholarship if they are able to pay a certain portion of the course fees.

    Qualifications

To qualify for a partial scholarship, prospective participants must complete and submit the Partial Scholarship Application Form, answering all questions on the form honestly and fully.

    Application Submissions

Prospective students may submit the scholarship application soon after their personal interview. They are required to present their case request for scholarship to the jury.

    Award Notifications

All applicants will be notified of their award status by email. We appreciate your patience while applications are in review.

    Course Bonus Policy

Scholarship award recipients will receive all of the early registration bonuses (Special Offer, Early Bird) that come with the FECAT course purchase if the application is received in the window of time that they are offered.

    Refund Policy

The intention of our scholarship program is to support individuals who are dedicated to becoming increasingly empowered change agents, but who otherwise would not be able to afford to enroll in one of our programs. We, therefore, expect applicants to be firmly committed to their course participation, and for that reason, the portion of the course fee paid by scholarship recipients is non-refundable, regardless of what the standard or advertised refund policy is for full-tuition attendees of that particular course.
