Mental health in times of crisis and well-being,
On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, this conversation in the context of the times we are living in examines how the pandemic has changed our lives in ways we hadn’t prepared for. Many of us have lost our loved ones while many more are living in the fear and anxiety of the health of the vulnerable and elderly in their homes. Crores of people have lost their jobs. Children have been forced to spend long hours in front of computer screens due to online classes while a larger population is struggling to get access to gadgets and online education.
Interaction with both mainstream and social media has been stressful lately, especially because of the way in which the female body and mind are portrayed. All these have had a severe impact on our collective as well as individual mental health and we believe that it is important now, more than ever, to discuss ‘well-being’.

Spiralling into Desire – Review
My first encounter with Spiralling Into Desire was its 2022 film release and screening. As an early student of Brinda and the daughter of her designer/publicist, I came in clueless, offering mere moral support. Today, two years later, I revel in the aftertaste of her...
More than Striking a Pose
It was the summer of 2017. Five years into my Jazz dance training – a dance form that had shaped, moulded and transformed my body and the way I moved. It was an annual dance-off and I was performing a lyrical Jazz piece. Before leaping into the routine, I stood in the...
