Natural Dreamwork Exploration Group
We would like to extend our support to participants from caste and gender minorities (SC/ST/OBC/DBA/LGBTQIA+). Once we reach a sustainable number of participants and break even, we would be happy to extend meaningful support as scholarships/waivers/
Explore your dreams using natural dreaming techniques designed to bring you into the landscape of your dreams to enhance the experience and richness of the “feeling body”, revive the imagination and deepen or rejuvenate the spirit.
Techniques explored include association work, family of origin/ancestral influences, revelatory feeling work, alchemical dream actions, and the development of dyadic practices.
Whether the dream brings difficult feelings of pain, anger or fear, family of origin dynamics, trauma, love, archetypal support, or deep discernment and ecstasy, the group will strive to explore these aspects free of moral judgments and with a goal towards open-minded exploration and discovery rather than interpretation, resolution or waking world outcomes.
The group will work with the concept that by giving spaciousness to all the dream has to offer, rather than trying to interpret or resolve the dream, they may experience the gifts of transformation, which can be a natural by-product of allowing the dream to enliven in us.
Laura will work directly with 1-2 dreamers’ recent dreams at each gathering to explore the topics above. Dreamers who step in to have their dreams explored more deeply will be given a dream practice moment to work with between gatherings.
All participants will be given opportunities for creative engagement with dreams, including writing, poetry, and visual art, with the goal of sharing these works in our private group space.
Laura Smith-Riva is a certified practitioner of Natural Dreamwork and a practising Druid of the Green Mountain Druid Order. She offers one-on-one dream consultation to individuals in the US and abroad and is a mentor for Natural Dreamwork Practitioners-in-training. She practices Natural Dreamwork through the cultivation of a dream practice based on the natural healing qualities found in dreams inherent in the sacred objects, symbols, creatures and archetypes that populate the dream landscape. She compassionately creates space for the dreamer to delve deeply into the images and feelings of the dream to find their authenticity, voice, passion and creativity.
Laura lives in the mysterious Green Mountains of Vermont with her partner of 25 years on a small homestead farm. When she’s not wrangling sheep, you can find her painting or writing in her studio, connecting to the healing energy of the earth, or engaged in laughter and general mayhem with her friends and family in various parts of the globe. She regularly blogs about her journey through dreams and vision work on the dream blog In Search of Puella and her artworks have been featured in several publications and ezines.
